Dear Mrs Allen
I am writing to say how impressed we were at Laird Street Baptist Church with the behaviour of the children from Portland School.  It was an absolute pleasure sharing with them the Easter message and the real meaning of Easter. They are an absolute credit to the school and their attention during all the sessions was exemplary.
May I sincerely thank Mrs Walker for allowing the children to take part in this Easter experience and for the courtesy of the staff who came with the children.  Comments were made as to how well mannered the children were and we look forward to working with you in the future and hope this visit will be the start of many.
Wishing you and your staff a very Happy Easter and a well earned rest.
Every blessing

The Spanish afternoon with years 2,3,4 and 5 was great fun.  The children were all so well-behaved and enthusiastic and I was impressed to see them using the Spanish they have been learning during the year, as well as their fantastic dancing and creative models.  Mr Whalley has thoroughly enjoyed working with the staff and children each week in class and I feel that the Spanish afternoon was a lovely way to celebrate all they have achieved.

In November 2016 some Year 1, 2 and 3 children received their flu vaccinations - the NHS nursing staff said that Year 1 were the most sensible children she'd ever vaccinated. They were very impressed.
