Summer Term 2017
I can't believe that it is the Summer term already. I hope the children are well rested after their Easter break.
We are going to be very busy this term and have lots of exciting activities lined up. We are planning a trip to Chester Zoo to follow up our work on Songbirds. We will be learning all about our local city, Liverpool and will also be finding more out about Ancient Egyptians. Don't forget to check our school Facebook page and Class Dojo.
We have PE each Monday afternoon. Please make sure you have suitable trainers or pumps in school. We will continue to learn Spanish on Tuesdays, which we all enjoy.
We will make good use of the ICT suite and will be continuing learning to programme using Scratch. We have reminded ourselves about safe internet use.
All the children have passwords to access the resources on Active Learn. We hope they get a chance to use them outside school. There are computers available at St James' Library. In addition, IDL is available for some children.
We visit our school library each Wednesday. I am so pleased to see so many children are enjoying taking the books at home. The children receive weekly maths and English homework. They are expected to learn their spellings weekly and read at home daily.
Later on this term there will be a chance to join Lego club on Thursday evenings.
I'm so pleased to see so many children accessing the active learn maths activities at home. It is really helping them.
Each week children receive spellings, literacy and maths homework.
In addition , please remember we should be:
- Reading everyday at home.
- Practising our all multiplication tables to 12 x 12
