Autumn Term 2017
Year 4 are working with  Mrs Moscrop, Mrs Shaw and Mrs Bettridge this year.Mr Evans will work with the children once a week too.
Year 4 have settled well into their new class and are working really well.
We are going to be very busy this term and have lots of exciting activities lined up.  We are reading Christophe's Story in English. Our maths lessons give us a chance to us maths manipulatives to solve problems.  The children have begun journaling their maths thinking. It is very impressive to see.  We will be learning all about journeys and how transport has changed our world.
Don't forget to check our school Facebook page and Class Dojo.
We have PE  each Tuesday afternoon. Please make sure you have suitable trainers or pumps in school. We will continue to learn Spanish on Thursdays, which we all enjoy.
We will make good use of the ICT suite and will thinking about safe use of the internet.
All the children have passwords to access the resources on Active Learn. We hope they get a chance to use them outside school. There are computers available at St James' Library.  In addition, IDL is available for some children to practise their reading and spelling. If you need a reminder of their passwords, just ask.
We visit our school library each Wednesday.  I am so pleased to see so many children are enjoying taking the books at home.  They are expected to learn their spellings weekly and read at home daily.
Later on this term there will be a chance to join Lego/games club on Thursday evenings.
I'm so pleased to see so many children accessing the active learn maths activities at home. It is really helping them.
